Muertes por coronavirus llegan a 18 mil: Punta Arenas continúa liderando los casos activos

El 61° Informe Epidemiológico del Ministerio de Salud publicado hoy, con datos hasta el 18 de octubre, arrojó que en Chile se han registrado 558.935 casos de covud-19, de los cuales 493.305 confirmados y 65.630 probables, con una tasa nacional de incidencia de 2.872,5 por 100.000 habitantes.
Por regiones, las mayores tasas de incidencia acumulada por 100.000 habitantes, según casos confirmados por laboratorio, se encuentran en Magallanes (6.795,7), Metropolitana (4.046,4) y Arica y Parinacota (3.768,6).
En cuanto a fallecidos, se consigna un total de 18.429 muertes entre confirmados por laboratorio y probables. En el reporte diario de hoy, el Minsal informó 13.719 decesos confirmados a nivel nacional. La Región Metropolitana aparece por lejos en el primer lugar de decesos por covid, con 12.445, seguida por de Valparaíso con 1.501, y luego Antofagasta 706, O’Higgins 702, Biobío 591 y Maule con 560.
La 10 comunas con más casos activos son Punta Arenas (753), Puerto Montt (564), Arica (485), Temuco (473), Puente Alto (423), Osorno (407), Antofagasta (382), Talca (357), Maipú (301) y Concepción (274).
