Girardi advierte relajo en medidas sanitarias: «Crónica de un rebrote anunciado”

El senador Guido Girardi manifestó su preocupación por el relajo de las medidas sanitarias de parte de la población -especialmente los jóvenes- y la débil implementación de las medidas de aislamiento y de trazabilidad, lo que a su juicio nos pone “en un riesgo altísimo de estar viviendo la crónica de un rebrote anunciado”.
Tales afirmaciones las realizó durante la sesión que las comisiones de Salud y Futuro del Senado realizan desde marzo junto a un amplio número de expertos en pandemia, entre los que también se incluyen los miembros del Consejo Asesor del Ministerio de Salud (Minsal).
El parlamentario explicó que “la trazabilidad y las medidas sanitarias -mascarilla, distanciamiento, lavado de manos- son la columna central de la estrategia para cortar la cadena de contagios. Si eso falla estamos expuestos a una cronificación del proceso de cuarentenas, confinamiento y restricciones”.
Agregó que “si no hay aislamiento precoz y en condiciones sanitarias adecuadas, ni búsqueda y rastreo de contactos en 24 horas y no se implementan en la Atención Primaria de Salud equipos de reacción rápida para un corte oportuno de los contagios, efectivamente corremos un alto riesgo”.
El senador dijo que “la conducta ciudadana es fundamental y siento que en Europa se relajó eso, especialmente los jóvenes empezaron a dejar de usar mascarillas y se reunieron en lugares cerrados”.
Por ello Girardi afirmó que “se debe realizar una campaña comunicacional educativa muy fuerte, sin escatimar recursos, para mantener las medidas esenciales: distancia física, mascarilla, lavado de manos… parece absurdo repetirlo, pero es lo que se está perdiendo”.
Finalmente, llamó a “evitar el relajo y junto a la campaña educativa, hay que fortalecer la trazabilidad que, actualmente, no tiene la fuerza ni cuenta con los recursos necesarios para garantizar el control de la pandemia. Si no hacemos eso estaríamos viviendo la crónica de un rebrote anunciado”.
