Walker tilda de «improcedente» proyecto de Vallejo que cambia quórum en la AC

El diputado Matías Walker (DC) criticó el proyecto que busca impulsar Camila Vallejo (PC) y que apunta a que la Asamblea Constituyente sea la que decida el quórum a aplicar al momento de redactar una nueva Constitución.
Con la iniciativa se quiere dejar atrás el 2/3 estipulado en el “Acuerdo por la paz y la nueva Constitución” del año pasado en medio del estallido social y dar la posibilidad de aplicar una mayoría absoluta (50%+1), 3/5, los mismos 2/3 o los que estimen conveniente, pero por decisión de los constituyentes electos.
En conversación con Radio Pauta, Walker tildó de “improcedente” el anuncio, ya que el plebiscito se enmarcó en un proceso “con reglas del juego que ya conocíamos”.
«Constitución no es una oportunidad para que una mayoría circunstancial le imponga su visión a una minoría circunstancial. Es absolutamente inviable, nosotros no estamos disponibles para torcerle la mano a la voluntad soberana. Una reforma de esa naturaleza requeriría 2/3. Lo que hace el PC presentando este proyecto es un saludo a la bandera», argumentó.
En esa línea, apuntó al partido de Vallejo, asegurando que “en vez de capitalizar la tremenda votación del Apruebo, aparece el Partido Comunista cambiando las reglas del juego, los mismos que no estuvieron en el acuerdo y celebraron después».
Otro de los temas abordados en la entrevista fue el proyecto de un segundo retiro de fondos previsionales que ya fue aprobado en la Cámara de Diputadas y Diputados y que está siendo discutido en la Comisión de Constitución del Senado. De hecho, el viernes inició su debate y hoy debería continuar en la instancia.
Ante el importante apoyo de parlamentarios oficialistas, desde el Gobierno anunciaron que podría recurrir al Tribunal Constitucional para inhabilitar la iniciativa en caso de ser aprobada, sin embargo, Walker sostuvo que «un requerimiento al TC tendría un objeto netamente dilatorio».
“(El ejecutivo) está amenazando con recurrir al TC como una herramienta para negociar un acuerdo en el Senado. A lo mejor sería saludable que en vez de tomar palco y amenazar, el Gobierno hiciera una propuesta», complementó.
