Rozas declaró ante Fiscalía como imputado por violaciones a los DD.HH.
El ex-uniformado no hizo declaraciones a la prensa luego de la jornada, dejando la sede de la Fiscalía porteña en la parte trasera de un vehículo, poco después de las 19:00 horas. A los minutos, hizo abandono del recinto su defensor, Gabriel Zaliasnik. El jurista se hizo cargo de la defensa de Rozas, al igual que de los ex-ministros Jaime Mañalich y Víctor Pérez en el marco de acusaciones constitucionales que no prosperaron.
Las querellas contra el ex-jefe policial y la investigación desarrollada por la fiscalía busca establecer el grado de conocimiento de las actuaciones policiales que tenían los altos mandos y si hubo o no acciones para exculpar de responsabilidades a los autores.
En este proceso judicial también se ven involucrados el Presidente Sebastián Piñera, junto a Andrés Chadwick y Gonzalo Blumel, ambos exministros del Interior y Seguridad Pública.
Desde el Ministerio Público de Valparaíso, indicaron que no se conocerán detalles de la declaración de Rozas por ser de carácter reservado.
