Girardi apuesta a lograr «unidad sucesiva» junto al PS para definir candidatura
El parlamentario manifestó que «no tiene expectativas de una participación muy masiva» debido al actual periodo de pandemia, no obstante, cifró sus esperanzas de que el proceso «tendrá el umbral de legitimidad y trasparencia necesario para que nada pueda empañarlo”.
Además, el legislador valoró el proceso, señalando que “colabora a generar condiciones para derrotar a la derecha», y que permite ir construyendo una «unidad sucesiva» en la centroizquierda, dado a que el candidato del PPD tendrá que medirse ante la carta de la DC, Ximena Rincón, la del PR, Carlos Maldonado y la más segura candidata del Partido Socialista, Paula Narváez.
Asimismo, Girardi agregó que “este Gobierno pasará a la historia como uno de los peores y la derecha no tiene legitimidad para decirle a los chilenos que quieren seguir conduciendo los destinos del país”.
Por otra parte, el legislador aseguró que su partido tiene el deber de aportar con contenidos de futuro dentro de temas trascendentales como la pandemia, el cambio climático, problemas de desigualdad, los nuevos desafíos de salud.
«Las recetas de ayer fueron exitosas para el siglo XX, pero cumplieron su ciclo y no sirven para hoy”, sostuvo el senador, quien añadió que “llamo al PPD a unirse con las universidades, los intelectuales, el mundo científico y repensar Chile. Generar una carta de navegación en un mundo de incertidumbre y cambios profundos. Y al mismo tiempo luchar por la unidad».
